Classic American Gladiators
The original series of Gladiators ran for 7 seasons in sydication from 1989 until 1996. It was the first Gladiators series in the world and was recorded at Universal Studios Hollywood and later CBS Studio Center. It was hosted by Mike Adamle with Joe Theismann, Todd Christensen, Larry Csonka, Lisa Malosky and Dan 'Nitro' Clark. The show was refereed by Larry Thompson and Bob McElwee.

American Gladiators Revival
The American Gladiators returned for 2 seasons in 2008 and was broadcast on NBC. It was updated for the 21st century with new technology, splashy twists and special effects. The classic games were upgraded with even higher thrills and impact. It was recorded at Sony Pictures Studios in California before moving to the Los Angeles Sports Arena. It was hosted by Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali and featured 20 brand new Gladiators and Al Kaplon as the referee.
