Russian Gladiators
The Russian Gladiators (Русские Гладиаторы or Бои гладиаторов) didn't have a domestic season of their own, but they did compete in 2 series of International Gladiators filmed at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, UK, during 1994 and 1995.
In 1996 the Russian Gladiators team also travelled to Australia to compete in a 3 part special series, Australia Vs Russia. The Russian male Contenders, Yuri and Vladimir, were victorious in beating the male Australian Contenders in the Final.
Popular radio personality Matvei Ganapolsky was the host of International Gladiators for the television audience in Russia.
Three unseen Gladiators, Colossus, Spider and Baghera were hired to be part of the Russian domestic series which sadly didn't go ahead. Baghera (Tatyana Yuraleva) was actually due to compete in the first International Gladiators in 1994.
