Shaka first joined the South African Gladiators team in 1997 when he represented his country against the UK in the Springbok Challenge series.

He returned to the MTN Gladiators series in 2000 to compete in Series 4.

Fitness instructor Shaka, has won fourteen trophies and one silver medal for bodybuilding. He unwinds by sailing.
